What Are You Reading?

We are reading our work in progress.

Tell us what you're reading and the hero's name. If it's the same as out hero's, you'll get a prize!

  1. I took a break from Vampire Diaries. I am reading Hero at Large by Janet Evanovich (actually an old book -written in 1987 which she has re-released). The hero's name is Ken (there's no Barbie in the book...)

  2. I just finished "Mennonite in a little black dress", which is a memoir by Rhoda Janzen, written last year when she was 44, and had moved back home for a while to get over a car accident/botched surgery/husband-who-had-left-her-for-Bob-who-he-met-on-gay.com. So, the heroine is Rhoda :-)

MAJOR reccommendation for this book, ladies. It has good and clever writing (apparently she was poet laureate at UCLA in 1994 and 1997) and a number of laugh out loud moments, while still being thoughtful. (They aren't cheap laughs.) Must read.

  3. Cheryl--I know you are laughing out loud!

Z!--I have to get that. I love the Amish and this can't be too far off, but with a major twist. The pile grows, and grows, and grows...

  4. LOL! Cheryl, you've got me in stitches. You're a hoot! ;)

I'm rereading my book so I can send it in to HQN. I'm also reading a friend's partial. :D

  5. Cheryl-I enjoy reading Janet E. I might have to go back and read that one.
(Thanks for giving us the Barbie-free detail)

Z- Oh Lord, thanks so much for turning Pantster onto an Amish book. She does love the Amish. I love the Church Spread she makes for The Guy and me when she is reading Amish.

Kathy-Good luck with the HQN submission.
    What's the hero's name?

Among other things I am re-reading Dark Legend by Christine Feehan. It is the story of Gabriel.

  6. My hero's name is Lord Percival Avery or as his pirate alter-ego, Thomas Sexton. ;)

  7. I just finished reading Led Into Temptation by Cara Summers. The hero's name is Dane. It's the first book in a 3 book series and I can't wait for the next one!
    Cheryl - you're so funny!
    Have a great weekend everyone!!

  8. There should be more Barbie. I spent many years in good company with her.

Kathy--Looks like a lot of us are reading our own books. 'Tis the season...

Sherry--Love a series; hate the waiting. Julia Quinn and Lisa Kleapas both have new installments but I can't let myself go there until I get some of this excess wordage out of this ms!

  9. Well I've just gotten to the beach. Don't hate me. LOL. I'm reading The Wednesday Sisters right now. It has briefly mentioned the hubby's but that is about it so far. Lol.
