I *should* be reading the manuscript I'm pitching in Orlando, but I'm reading books from that editor's line -- Harlequin SuperRomance. Have read two in the last week. Will start the third when I go to the beach this afternoon. The July ones come out next week so I'll get a couple of those and have them read by conference along with the copy of Donald Maass's book I ordered last night.
Just finished Gena Showalter's "The Darkest Passion" from her Dark Lord series. I am picking up some Harlequins to keep abreast of what's going on with their lines.
I'm trying to wade through The Historian. It's 700 pages and it is an interesting story about the search for Dracula. But, it has very long passages and dense reading. Started Roadside Crosses by Jeff Deaver and it was the first of his books I didn't finish.

ReplyDeleteNothing. I have forbidden myself any fun reading until I have made serious inroads on my revisions.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I am eyeing Pride & Prejudice and Zombies just because I may not be able to resist it...
_Pride & Prejudice and Zombies_ was hilarious! I just finished _Queen Victoria, Demon Hunter_, which was not quite as good as I wanted it to be.
ReplyDeletePM--Oh, the things I should be doing. I could make a list, a long list.
ReplyDeleteCheryl--I did that very thing today.
M.V.--I tried to read that. I tried hard. I am not smart enough for it though I hope they make a movie.
Jessica--Was Prince Albert a demon? I like to think so!
You know I can't, in good conscience, ruin a potential plot twist...That being said, I think you'd enjoy it. I'd be glad to loan it to you.
